Michael David Smith, II

Michael David Smith, II

Michael (Mike) David Smith II, 35, of Bellevue, NE, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.

Mike was born on July 8, 1989, in Atlanta, GA, to Michael (Mickey) Smith and April (Covey) Frazier.

After his father’s passing, the family relocated to Nebraska, where Mike was raised by his parents, April and Dayle Frazier.

He received his education from the Bellevue Public Schools and graduated from Bellevue East High School. Combining his expertise with tech and numbers, Mike pursued secondary education in Cybersecurity and Accounting.

Mike married in 2016 (now divorced), bringing us his first daughter, Nevaeh.

In 2023, Mike united with the love of his life, Alysa Seals, and brought us Mike’s second daughter, Thalia.

Mike was a devoted father, loving son, great brother, and a joyful friend.

A message from the family:

Our hearts are broken not only for our loss but for Mike’s loss as well. At just 35 years old, Mike’s life was cut way too short. He had so much ahead of him, life to experience, and loved ones to cherish. Although losing Mike pains us, we are also proud of the life he lived and thankful for the legacy he leaves behind.

Mike is survived by his partner Alysa Seals; daughters Nevaeh and Thalia Smith; parents April and Dayle Frazier; siblings Ted Herman, Zach Frazier, Jeremy Frazier, Linsey Klug, and Danielle Frazier; as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Michael (Mickey) Smith; grandfather James (Jack) Covey; and grandparents Stephen and Sharon Smith.

The memorial service is at 1:00 PM (CST) on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Bellevue, NE. There will be no visitation nor burial ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the education fund for Mike’s daughters, Nevaeh and Thalia.  Donation link: https://gofund.me/2f31b9b6

I met Mike in 7th grade and we always got a kick out of cracking each other up with a new joke. He was funny, kind, and someone you could always talk to. Our friend group stayed relatively close even through high school and he always remained the same, genuine person. I moved away from Bellevue in 2012 and seeing this news is truly saddening. I hope and pray for peace for his family through this devastating time. ♥️
