Zachary A. Pomfret
Age 31
Zach peacefully passed away on December 11, 2018, surrounded by his family after a fearless battle with glioblastoma.
Zach was born in Bellevue, Nebraska on Valentine’s Day 1987, to parents Jeffery and Nancy. He graduated from Bellevue East High School in 2005 and received a Bachelors Degree in Sports Management in 2011. After college, Zach became a member of the United States Postal Service where he worked for 6 years.
Zach met his wife, Tiffany in September 2009. Tiffany and Zach were married on December 13, 2014 in Omaha, Nebraska surrounded by their family and friends. They welcomed their only son, Landon in April 2015. Their relationship would span nine wonderful years.
Zach loved all sports, including football, golf, baseball, bowling and hockey. He was an avid and committed fan of all things Pittsburgh; the Steelers, Penguins, Pirates and the Penn State Nittany Lions. Zach could always be counted on for a good laugh, mildly inappropriate comments, an ice-cold basket of chicken wings at DJ’s Dugout, a shot of Fireball, and a contagious smile.
Zach was undoubtedly welcomed at the gates of Heaven by his grandfather. Robert Carpenter; sister Michala Pomfret.
Zach is forever remembered and survived by his wife Tiffany Pomfret, and son Landon Pomfret; mother, Nancy (Robert) Staley, father, Jeffery (Jennifer) Pomfret; grandmother, Ginette Carpenter; grandparents, Amelia and George Pomfret; brother, James Raymond and brother-in-law, Benjamin Luczak; in-laws, Richard and Elizabeth Kenney; best friend, Phillip Ray III; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and wonderful friends.
Visitation Friday, December 14 from 5-7 p.m. at Bellevue Memorial Chapel
Memorial Service Saturday, December 15 at 10 a.m. at Bellevue Memorial Chapel
Memorials to be directed by the family for Tiffany and Zach’s son, Landon’s education.

I am so so very sorry for the loss of a great man to so many. I knew Zach in high school and did not keep in contact with him thereafter, but did follow him and his recent journey on Facebook. I knew him very briefly in this lifetime, but also knew that he was a genuinely good dude. I pray for peace to his family and close friends during this time of grief and know that he is now in a better place, free of pain. Love to all.

I don’t even know what to say other than I wish this was all a bad dream. I wish we still had Zach and I wish this wasn’t what the future had planned for you and Landon. I love you both so much and I’m so sorry you have to go through this. Know you are never alone and Zach is always, always with you and in your heart. I love you so much Tiff!
