Age 92
Preceded in death by his parents Willard & Elsie Chaffee; brother Roger Chaffee; sisters Beth Langworthy & Phyllis Jensen.
Survived by his wife of 67 years Bertha; sons Larry Chaffee (Laura), Terry Chaffee (fiancée Nancy Smith); grandchildren Landon & Lauren (fiancé Michael Miller); brother Norm Chaffee (Sue).
Committal Service: Wednesday, February 26, 11:00 a.m., Omaha National Cemetery.
Military Honors: Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard

I joined the Air Force the middle of my senior year in high school. Uncle Willard and Aunt Bert invited my family down so he could show me the base and prepare me a bit for my new adventures. Did it prepare me nope but what I saw that long weekend was my dad having a vacation of his dreams. Such wonderful memories growing up with Uncle Willard but that one is my favorite. I hope your memories of your husband, dad and grandfather help you thru this difficult time. He will be greatly missed!
