Wesley “Wes” Dale Lacy

Lacy, Wesley “Wes” Dale Feb 22, 1932 – Sep 27, 2013 Wesley “Wes” Dale Lacy of Bellevue, NE, passed away on September 27, 2013 at age 81. He was born on February 22, 1932 in Wessington, SD to Betty and Herman Lacy and married his college sweetheart, Elizabeth Cotton, on June 27, 1954. Wes developed a passion for flying at age 14 when he spent a summer crop dusting. After college he served over 21 years as a pilot in the United States Air Force and was a life member of the 310th Bomb Wing Historical Association. He retired from the USAF in 1975 and pursued his love of flying, farming, finance and travel. Wes is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Lacy; 3 children, Holly (Lloyd) Rowe, Alexandria, VA, Wesley D. Jr. (Amy) Lacy, Stafford, VA, Martha (Jerry) Zubke, Bellevue, NE; 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; 1 sister. He is preceded in death by parents; 2 sisters; 1 brother. FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, October 1, 11am, Bellevue Memorial Chapel. Interment Bellevue Cemetery.
