Wanda M. Drinkard

 

Wanda Drinkard, DOB March 9, 1937, beloved wife of Raymond and cherished mother of David (Elena Andrews), Drinkard, and Nancy Drinkard, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones in her home. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Wanda’s legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. David has two sons, Jared and Cory, and a daughter named Brittany. Jared has three children, Mia, Joseph, and Madalyn, who will never forget their great-grandma’s love and kindness. Cory has one son, Zephyr, who will grow up hearing stories of his great-grandma’s joy and passion for life. Brittany has two children, Rayleigh and Bradyn, who will always cherish the memories they shared with their beloved great-grandma.

Nancy, Wanda’s daughter, has two daughters, Krystal and Elizabeth. Krystal, her husband, Allen Rider, and four children, Daythan (Kayja Speeks), Curtis, Jadon, and Alora, will always remember their great-grandma’s warmth and love. Elizabeth and her husband, Jeremy Bolan, have one son, Payton, who will grow up knowing his great-grandma’s impact on his family and the world.

Wanda deeply loved God, her family, and her hobbies. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, collecting chicken statues and dolls, and spending time with her loved ones. Wanda and Raymond created a beautiful life together, and their family will always cherish their love and dedication for each other.

Wanda was a hard worker and a great friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her, including special friends Navona and Gary Nichols, Ruby, and her church family at Grace Chapel Church. Her spirit will live on through her family, and her memory will always be cherished. Rest in peace, Wanda.

Wanda is survived by her siblings: Ronald Upton, Phyllis Warner, and Nancy Coleman.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde, and Ruth Upton, sister Dolores Kennedy, brother-in-law Ralph Coleman and the love of her life, Raymond.
