Walter L. “Walt” Hollars MSgt USAF (Ret)
September 15, 1937 – February 6, 2021
Age 83
Walt served in the US Air Force for 24 years, including assignments in Vietnam and Thailand. He then retired from Union Pacific after 19 years.
Preceded in death by wife of 45 years Helen; parents Johnny Hollars and Elva Loree Lively Evans; sister Velma Jean Blocker; grandson Joseph Hollars.
Survived by son Walton W. “Walt” Hollars (Teresa); daughter Sandra Bedore (Bill); grandchildren Jason (Christian) and Jonathan Hollars, and Christopher and Ashley (Ron) Wagner; great-grandchildren Madalyn Kelsey, Jayce, Kaylee, Emily, Allison, and Sophia Hollars, and Helaina & Charlie Davidson.
Visitation following CDC guidelines: Wednesday, February 10, 5 – 7 p.m., at Bellevue Memorial Chapel, with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m.

Military Honors by the Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard.
Please dress casual in Walt’s honor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

On behalf of The American Legion Family, we send caring thoughts to the family of Mr. Hoffers for your sad loss. Walt is “Gone but Not Forgotten” by this organization of volunteers for Veterans, the Military and their families. The local Legion Post can place a memorial weekend flag or marker on his grave.
