As somewhat junior in years and rank to Col. Harris, I so tried to emulate his “can-do” spirit. He was my hero! When he retired from the USAF, I felt such a sense of loss. With his passing, we have another loss to family, friends, and the broader community. With the deepest respect!!
Prayers for your family sovsorry
Continuing to pray for the Harris family as you have lost a wonderful man. May you feel the peace and comfort of God as only He can give.
Carolyn and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. So many years have passed since we have seen you. You have been in our thoughts and prayers as we have watched your fsmily grow through our letters and pictures at Christmas. We will talk soon, but want you to know that we are mourning your great loss at this time. With love, Brooke and Tom
Sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. Got to see him in the hospital. We all know about his faith and know he did a lot good things in his life for others. He will rest in peace with his God.
Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of Thomas. Psalms 34:18 says that God is near to those brokenhearted. Draw close to God and he will grant you peace & comfort during this grievous time.
We will miss Tom. He was a fresh addition to our family. We always were rewarded by his presence. Prayers go out to Carolyn, Steve, Tom and John
Had the honor and pleasure working with Tom while on active duty and during his employment with Harris. Rest in peace Tom and condolences to Carolyn and his family.
Tom was a dozen years senior, and Debbie and I treasured his and Carolyn’s personal and professional leadership and relationship both during his days in AWS. After retirement we were fortunate enough to cross paths from time to time. Tom, you were a mentor and you leave a wonderful legacy behind.
Sorry for your loss from the Cote’s
Please accept my deepest sympathy, condolences and prayers .
I worked closely with Tom at Scott AFB. He was a great mentor and friend. We traveled together in Feb 1982 to visit all 1WW units in the Pacific. Among his many strengths, Tom had a keen ability to make folks feel proud about their contribution to the AWS mission. Joyce and I send prayers and sympathy to you, Carolyn, and family.
John

We are saddened to hear of Tom’s passing. We were blessed knowing him. May you all know God’s peace and comfort today and in the days and weeks to come. Love to you all.
My sincere condolences to the family and many friends. Tom was one of the finest people I have ever known. Alway a joy to be around and an example to follow. The way he treated people and his positive attitude are just two of the things that all of us should strive to emulate and hopefully pass on to those who follow us. Tom is gone but his memories will live on for a long time. I am so thankful for knowing Tom and for the things he taught me, not by words but by how he lived his life. We are all blessed by knowing him.
Tom was a good friend and I still recall when I replaced him as AWS/CV Scott AFB, I knew his would be tough shoes to follow. He was a great officer and gentleman.
Carolyn and family we are saddened to hear of your loss. We revered Tom and all that he did. We feel fortunate to have met and shared some times with you and your family at 9 Weather Squadron and AWS. I’m sorry that we haven’t been in touch. We think of you and your family often and of all the wonderful things Tom and you did for so many people. We are living in Chandler, AZ and as I remember Tom grew up in the Ajo area. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.
Prayers and blessings to all at this sad time. It was a privilege to know Tom and to work with him. May he rest in peace.
Tom was a Fraternity Brother at the University of Arizona. He was a Quality Man From the start!
Sincere condolences to his Family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole Harris family.
I’m so sorry for your family’s loss of a great man. I have cut his hair for at least 16 years. It was fun to talk about the Huskers! His trips back when they had the camper! His lunches or breakfast with the guys! Just in the time I knew him I couldn’t believe all that him & his family had been through and his strong faith in God. It never seemed to change his outlook on life, He was a pretty private guy so usually I only found out stuff because it would be a little longer in between appointments. I will really miss our talks. Prayers to Carol, Steve, and the rest of the family. Hope all your memories and pictures can help you through this great loss.
Deeply saddened Carolyn for you and the boys. I know Tom loved his family so much and will be greatly missed. He was a giant among men and I am privileged to have known and served with him. Our Love and Prayers are with you.
