Shawn Michael Blaha

Shawn Michael Blaha

December 19, 1968 – February 6, 2022

Age 53

Shawn Blaha passed away February 6, 2022, at the age of 53 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Shawn’s love for his wife, children and family was always apparent. He was a homebody, preferring to spend time at home with his family and much loved dogs. He was passionate about his teams, Pittsburgh Steelers and Michigan, and every Facebook friend knew when they were playing by his multiple posts. He was sentimental and easily brought to tears. He had a BIG personality and was loud, outgoing, FUNNY and kind hearted. He was grounded in faith and the resiliency and strength demonstrated during his battle with cancer is a testament to his character and strong faith.

“When we lose someone we love, we must learn not to live without them but to live with the love they left behind.”

Preceded in death by grandparents Otto & Doreen “Tootie” Blaha; uncles Chuck Blaha and Dennis “Mick” Moritz; cousins Todd Blaha and Brandon Moritz.

Survived by wife of 22 years Charlene; daughter Kylie Blaha; son Kaleb Blaha; mother Jeanette “Kay” Stewart; siblings Christy Hicks and Paul Blaha (Laurie). Shawn leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Shawn was a great man. I’ve known Shawn for quite a few years. I was friends with Shawn as well as did a lot of business with him when he was at O’Reilly Auto parts. The things I learned over the years with Shawn is that he loved his family and his faith. He never Faltered on either of them. To the Blaha family. May god wrap his loving arms around all of you in your time of need.
