Scott Jurgens, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 28, 2022. Scott wished to be cremated. A gathering to celebrate Scott’s life will be from 11am – 3 pm, Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Circle C Rockin’ Ranch,12118 S. 36th Street, Bellevue, NE  68123. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later.

Scott was born on March 6, 1966, in Holdrege, NE, the firstborn and only son of Gary and Carole Jurgens. Scott attended school in Palmer and Grand Island. He graduated from Grand Island Senior High School, class of 1984. Scott also attended Kearney State College and University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Scott was a proud Army veteran who served 14 years in the 82nd Airborne. He completed two tours of duty: Desert Storm and Desert Shield.  Scott considered himself a foodie lover as he was not afraid to try any ethnic food. He enjoyed reading, playing video games, and learning a myriad of historical topics on YouTube.  

Those who cherish his memory include his children:  Ross (Tatum) Jurgens of Bellevue, and Elle Jurgens of Ralston. Fiancé, Julie Guzinski of La Vista. Siblings: Stephanie (Matt) Garwood, Urbandale, IA; Catherine Jurgens, Seattle, Washington; and Christine Jurgens, Bellevue. Nephews Kurt, Grant, and Cole. Maternal aunt Jean Chesnut, Grand Island; and extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents Gary and Carole Jurgens.

    I’m so sorry about Scott, he has always been so interesting to talk to. A great, dry sense of humor! Your family has been through a lot of loss in a short few years. Death and loss makes us feel so targeted, a blinding reminder of how short and precious our time is with those we love. I hope you find comfort in each other and all the memories you have together.

    Scott loved life family and friends ,he could tell a story like a Jurgens make you laugh or just think about what he just said 🤔 life is full of change good,hard to take in sometimes yet we know we have family friends who are there if needed .love from our family Mary Jurgens
