It is with profound sorrow that the family of Sandra Kay Richards (nee Davis) and Robert Clifford Richards announce their passing. Sandra passed after a short and unexpected illness on November 9, 2021, and her husband of 49 years Robert passed shortly after on November 13, 2021. Sandra was 75 years old, and Robert was 82.
Sandra was the daughter of the late Florence Ethel (nee Rayner) and Jesse Robinette Davis, and was born in St Albans, England, on November 26, 1945. Robert was the son of the late Margaret Mary (nee Coogan) and Clifford Oliver Richards, and was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on December 10, 1939.
They are survived by daughters, Michele Renee and her husband Christopher W. Cairo and son Xander Warren, and Debra Lynn and her husband Joseph N. Brunson; Robert’s sister, Margaret (Peg) and her husband Win Lavallee; nephew Bradley Miles; and friends. Sandra was predeceased by her brother Ron Allen.
Sandra and Robert were residents of Bellevue, Nebraska, since 1982, when Robert retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service, and worked as a substitute teacher for many years in the area. Sandra was an unwavering pillar of support for her family, and she will be remembered for her kindness and generosity to those who knew her. Robert was a caring soul and renowned storyteller.
Visitation: Wednesday, November 17, 5:00-6:30 p.m. followed by
Memorial Service at 6:30 p.m. both at the Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel
