Ronald N. Lowrance

July 20, 1941 – September 22, 2020

Age 79

Born in Moline, Illinois, Ron’s family moved to Laramie, Wyoming, when he was a young child. In Laramie his parents owned and operated a Dairy Queen which he was always a part of. It was there at the Dairy Queen that he met the beautiful woman that would become his wife, Carolyn Marie. He graduated with a teaching degree from the University of Wyoming. In 1971 he moved his family to Bellevue, Nebraska, where he began his educational career at Bellevue Public Schools. He started teaching and coaching at Mission Junior High and later moved up to Bellevue East where he retired in 2001. After retirement he spent his time being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Preceded in death by parents Robert & Juanita Lowrance.

Survived by wife of 57 years Carolyn; daughter Pam Ferrick; son Steven Lowrance (Stephannie); grandchildren Jacob Lowrance, Tyler Ferrick, Blake Lowrance, Dakota Lowrance; great-grandchildren Gabbie, Erik, Daxton and Willow.

Visitation Saturday, September 26th, 9:00-11:00 a.m., followed by

Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. both at Bellevue Memorial Chapel.

    Ron will be greatly missed. Both as an educator and friend you left your mark on the world. Rest in peace Ron.

    Mr. Lowrance was by far one of my favorite teachers ever. He made classes so much fun. He was a great coach and mentor to me all the way through junior high and high school. To the Lowrance family may god wrap his loving arms around all of you in your time of need.
