Ronald R. James

Ronald James, age 78, passed away peacefully at home April 29, 2021. He was born December 18, 1942 to Edwin and Jean (Stewart) James in Wymore, NE. Ronald lived in Bellevue, NE at the end of his life.

After graduating from Wymore High School in 1960 he worked for a short time for the FBI in Washington D.C. and Quantico, VA. His career with Burlington Northern Railroad spanned 36 years and included many moves to different States which allowed him to make friends all over this country. He took great pride in his career and the many friends he made on the railroad.

Ron was a friend of Bill W. beginning in May of 1977 and his life was forever changed. Again, making many friends along the way and enjoying it every step of the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dean and Jean James.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 44 years, Connie James; his children, sons Rodney James and wife Shannon, Russell James and wife Terri, step-daughters Carrie Joseph and Christine Peterson, 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers Richard James and wife Laurie, Ed James and wife Linda and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Bellevue Memorial Chapel, 2202 Hancock St., Bellevue, NE on June 19th at 2:00 p.m.

My dad lived his life the best way he knew how. It wasn’t always great early but last 40 years were awesome after he met the love of his life. RIP DAD
