January  19, 1939 –  November 16, 2022

Age 83

Ron joined the Air Force at age 17,  served in Vietnam  and rose to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant retiring in 1979. He then retired as a GS 14 in 1996 from US Strategic Command.

Preceded in death by his wife Marlene; parents Mike & Zelta Vance; brother-in law Laymon Quick.

Survived by his son Mike L. Vance, CMSgt USAF (Ret) & wife Shelley; daughter Julie Vance Fair; grandchildren: Jenna Fair, Richard Vance (Brittani), Ricky Fair (Madeline), Michelle Tidmore, MSgt USAF (Matt, MSgt USAF), Jessica Fair Sweeney (Nic Sweeney), James Vance, Melissa Vance; great grandchildren: Brady, Michael, Brower, Jackson, London, Blair, Brock, Mackenzie & Makayla; siblings Lonnie Vance (Carol), Helen Quick, & Jimmy Joe (Carol); many nieces, & nephews.

Visitation: Tuesday, November 22 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.  at the Bellevue Memorial Chapel.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, November 23 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bellevue Memorial Chapel.
