Age 89

An honor graduate of Omaha Central High School, Robert served as a major in the ROTC Battalion and received a scholarship to Yale College, from which he graduated in 1953. He served as Editor of the Yale Literary Magazine and upon graduation entered on active duty in the USAF. During his service an an intelligence officer, he acquired a love of flying, which he continued to practice as a glider pilot. Most of his post military activity was based in San Francisco, where he conducted clinical trials in the psychology department of the San Francisco State Medical Center, devoting his free time to reading, hiking and skiing. His last years were spent in the Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home in Bellevue.

A Mass of Christian Burial following CDC guidelines will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 12 at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Matthew’s Church, 12210 South 36th Street, Bellevue.

Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Omaha National Cemetery.
