Remonia Hairston Haskins

Remonia Hairston Haskins was born on the 11th day of November in 1929.  She was the daughter of James and Mary Hairston who resided in Kimball, West Virginia.

She graduated from Kimball High School in 1948.  She resided in Kimball, West Virginia, for the greater part of her life before moving to Nebraska to live with her daughter Ramona (Riordan) Smith in 2017.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Cecil S. Haskins Sr., one son Cecil S. Haskins Jr. and a daughter, Angela Haskins.  On April 7, 2020, Remonia peacefully departed this life at home in Bellevue, Nebraska.  She was the last surviving member of her family, as she was preceded in death by each of her siblings.

Mrs. Remonia Haskins will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves many cherished, treasured memories to eight daughters: Mary Lane of King, North Carolina, Deborah (Zarnett) Law of Forestville, Maryland, Minnie (Herbert) Brown of Maryland, Doris Haskins of San Antonio, Texas, Faith (John) Briggs of Bluffton, South Carolina, Ramona (Riordan) Smith of Bellevue, Nebraska, Patricia (Steven) Staggs of Landover, Maryland, Cecilia Haskins of Bluffton, South Carolina, and Ida Haskins of Kimball, West Virginia; three sons: Darryl (Karen) Haskins of Utah, Donald (Victoria) Haskins of Stafford, Virginia, and Anthony Haskins of Forestville, Maryland; 21 grandchildren;  14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
