Age 90

Nancy Marie Selby (Sittler) was born July 19, 1930, to Walter and Priscilla Sittler. Nancy was a very kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and daughter. She was a woman of noble character!

Nancy grew up on a farmstead near Hartley, Iowa. She was one of 5 children: Delbert, Hazel, Joyce, Don and Nancy. She attended a small rural country school until high school.

She was an Avon representative for many years and loved selling the Avon products and getting to know her clients as friends.

Nancy loved taking care of her flower gardens. She would tend to the vegetable garden with care to bring in a full harvest. She was very good with canning vegetables and fruits, making jams and preserves, and also enjoyed creating handmade rugs. But most of all, Nancy loved being a good wife and mothering her children!

Never to be forgotten…..

Preceded in death by parents, and siblings Delbert, Donald, Hazel & Joyce.

Survived by husband Donald Selby; children Patsy Haagensen, Sonya Horner, Norman Selby, Betty (Greg) Selby-Syslo, and Brian Selby; grandchildren Karen, Marie, Shaun, Brad, Tyler, Mariah, Susie, Danielle, Steven, Jacob, Brandon, and Josh; great-grandchildren Dimetry, Cadon, Valora, Alex, Natalie, and Niko.

Memorial Service  Sunday, October 18th, 2:00 p.m., Bellevue Memorial Chapel.

    So very sorry to hear of your very deep and personal loss. Aunt Nancy was always so good to me through the years! Loved those times at Green Acres/Emerson Bay at Okoboji!! May God heal the sorrow you feel now and leave you with special memories to treasure for the future.
