Miss Withers taught my two teacher in kindergartern thirty years ago. There was never a kinder, sweeter teacher. She not only taught academics but taught the children compassion, love of life, yearning for learning. There is a new angel in heaven!

Ms Withers was my kindergarten teacher in 1948! She started me off on the right foot and I eventually became a teacher. She was a wonderful, sweet woman who will live on in the hearts of the thousands of students whose lives she touched.

So sorry for your lost. Ms. Withers was our son Michael’s teacher in 1994. She had a heart of gold & a wonderful person. Up until Dec 2017 I received Christmas cards from her. When I had a car accident she sent flowers. She also sent me a window stained glass which I still have. She wasn’t only a teacher she was a dear friend. She’ll truly be missed. 🙏. Prayers sent to the family to get through this tough time.

My condolences to the family of Myrtle Withers. She was my kindergarten teacher in Wayne, NJ at Ryerson Elementary School. She loved to teach, the children she taught and just life in general. She was always so full of life and enthusiasm. Every day I went to school and had her as my teacher was a blessing. She always had a smile on her face that would light up the classroom. God bless

What a wonderful person and teacher. Myrt had all three of my children for kindergarten at Ryerson School and she was the kindest and most caring teacher for their first experience. Her singing at the piano resonated through the whole school. She will never be forgotten and spoken about with love.

Ms Withers was my kindergarten teacher back in 1949-50. I still have a picture of her with my class. I put her obituary on Packanack Lake Facebook as many people knew and loved her over her 50 years of teaching! She was extremely kind and a giving lady! I will never forget her, and neither will her many students. May she Rest In Peace! ❤️🙏

My most sincere condolences to Miss Withers’ family and friends. Miss Withers taught my daughter in Wayne in 1993. She was the ideal kindergarten teacher. I can still picture her playing piano for the children and being her kind and patient self. I had her in my thoughts just this past week. Rest in sweet peace Miss Withers. Your job here is done, and was done very well.

Aside from being a fantastic teacher, Myrt was a valued friend.. She never failed to send cards for our holidays and even sent a gift when I retired. We will dearly miss her uplifting messages in the cards she sent. Myrt will always have a special place in our hearts.

I send my deepest sympathy to Myrt”s family. I taught with Myrt at Ryerson Elementary School in Wayne for 25 years. She was the quintessential kindergarten teacher and embodied the concept that everything I ever need to know, I learned in kindergarten. I will miss our Christmas correspondences and forever continue to think of her each time that I look at the beautiful glass plates that she gave to me.
