Michael B. Addison

August 16, 1946 ~ August 9, 2023

Mike, aka Mr. A or Coach A, served in the United States Air Force and was a decorated SSgt during the Vietnam War.  He was an avid gardener, true outdoorsman and also a history buff.  He taught Social Studies at Bloomer, Edison and Kirn Junior High School.  He coached volleyball, basketball, track and gymnastics.  He was voted by his students as the “Teacher Most Impactful” on their lives.  Mr. A’s family would like to thank those students as they weren’t just his students; they were his kids.

Preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Pauline Addison.

Survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann; children Heather Spahn (Mike Derry); Alan Addison; Brandy Nelson (Alek); grandchildren Jacob and Gannon Spahn; Jon & Sarah-Ann Spahn.

Graveside Service: Saturday, August 12, 2023, 10 a.m., Bellevue Cemetery.

    I was a special education teacher on Mike’s team at Kirn. I loved going to his classes with my students. I learned more in those years than I did in a lifetime.
