Gary: Thinking of you during this time of grief. It looks like you have a wonderful family to rely on for support and comfort during this time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mary was a dear friend and teaching partner with me at Holy Cross Catholic school. Her love for her family, her colleagues, and the children she taught was an inspiration. She was one of the most faith filled, kindest people that I have ever known. She remained a friend and part of our retired teachers group, meeting monthly for several years now. I will miss her very, very much. My sincerest sympathy to Gary and all of her children.

Mary was one of the best teachers I had the privilege to work with. Not only did she have a tremendous impact on the hundreds of students she taught but she made all her colleagues better too. I am in her debt. She was such a positive influence on everyone around her and a wonderful example of a woman of faith. What a loss for all of us. I wish I could deliver these words in person but we are in AZ for the winter. My prayers continue for Mary and her family, especially for her loving husband, Gary.

Gary and Family, My heart breaks for you on the loss of Mary and the loss for all of us who called her our friend! She inspired me always to be a better person and I will miss her very much. I so much enjoyed helping her to become a quilter and treasure the times I got to spend with her quilting and talking!!!
Due to the health circumstances we are in now, I will be praying with you via streaming . May God hold Mary and all of you in His loving arms!

My deepest sympathy to Gary and family. We shared our anniversary date of 8/10/1963, which meant a lunch for Mary and I to catch up on latest with family. Sending prayers of comfort during this sad time for all of you.

Mary Beth and I watched the service online. It was special. Mary will be missed by family but also by the many friends she made throughout the years. We have many memories of you and Mary joining us and “the gang” for many dances and other celebrations. God Bless.

    Gary and Family,
The first time SKip and I met you was when we moved into our house across the street from yours on Pierce St. in 1968. You brought over home baked cinnamon rolls and introduced yourselves. However, it wasn’t too long after that that you moved to the other side of Center Street. Hope we weren’t the cause of your move 😉
Our friendship grew through school and parish activities. In my new, later in life career as a teacher, I took over Mary’s 4th grade classroom when she retired. I surely had big shoes to fill.
Mary joined the quilt group that I belonged to and quickly became an expert quilter.
I’ll never forget the fact that Mary called me on the 1st year anniversary of Skip’s death to say she was thinking of me. I was shocked to hear later that day she had fallen.
Mary will always be a role model for me, to live a truly Christian life. Thank you Mary. Thank you God for letting us have Mary in our lives.
    Barb

Gary and family, I send prayers for Mary and for all of you. Mary and I taught together at St Cecilia when there were 1500 students in the elementary, led by Sister Donalda, OP. Some students confused the two of us, thinking we looked alike. I was happy to see her and you, Gary, at a Cathedral reunion a few years ago. May God bless you in your sorrow.
