I was friends with Keith Aarhus in high school. Mrs. Aarhus always made me feel so welcome in their home. She was very creative and crafty – I still hang an ornament that she made for me every year on my Christmas tree. Loving thoughts and prayers to all of her boys .

You became my Mother in-law the day I wed your son,
And I just want to thank you ,Marlene for the lovely things you’ve done.
You raised in Love the gracious man with whom I share my life.
You are his lovely mother and I’m his lucky wife.
During your journey on your final flight home.
White wings will carry you and you will be flown.
To the pearly gates of Heaven, where they will usher you in.
To the feet of your Lord, your Saviour, and your friend.
He will hold you in his arms and the angels will sing.
As another one of His children is delivered by white wings
    May you rest in peace.

Thank you Joyce, that’s a beautiful poem. I’m sure Mom loves it.
