Age  83

Marilyn was a Bellevue University Booster and inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017.  She enjoyed and supported her grandchildren’s athletic activities.  She was the “Gatorade Lady” for the College World Series teams that practiced at Roddy Field.

Preceded in death by her husband Loyola “Gene” Ralston; parents Earl and Ilene Applegate; brother Roger Applegate.

Survived by daughter Debbie Fischer (Ron); grandchildren Ryne Fischer and Kylee Fischer; all of Bellevue; brothers Don Applegate of Oakland, Iowa, Richard Applegate of Yorkville, Illinois (Toni); sister Karen Johnson of Rockwell City, Iowa; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friday, December 8, 2023, 5:00-7:00 pm, Bellevue Memorial Chapel.

Memorial Service: Saturday, December 9, 2023, 10:00 am, Bellevue Memorial Chapel.

Interment:  Bellevue Cemetery

    Marilyn was a gem of a woman. So glad we got to know her. From all she did for Bellevue University and College World Series teams being the Gatorade Lady she truly will be missed by so many!!! Prayers and hugs to Debbie and Ron, Ryne and Kylie.

    Marilyn was amazing! She keep track of the history of our entire Leaders Family! She will be missed!

    Mrs. Ralston was the best!! She was the most caring person. She welcomed all of us all like we were family. We will miss you Momma Bruin!!
