Maggie Jean Boyer

Our sweet girl, Maggie Jean Boyer, affectionately known as “Pooh,” was born February 29, 2020, in Omaha Nebraska. She passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her family on June 8, 2024, after an unexpected decline from a neurological disorder.

Maggie’s love for life and people were pure. She knew no enemies and to know Maggie was to love her. Maggie made everyone around her smile with her squeals of joy, her sassy attitude, and the way she would belly laugh.

Maggie had a passion for music and will be remembered for her love of “Wheels On The Bus”, asking for it to played over and over again on YouTube while she did the motions.

Maggie overcame so many obstacles in her short life. Maggie did not let her medical issues hold her back and she lived her life to the fullest. Maggie performed in dance, loved to go swimming, play with electronics and the remote, encourage her siblings to run and jump and make inappropriate sounds by laughing at them and signing more to them (until they ended up in time out usually), and loved balloons, bubbles, princesses, and most of all her family.

She found joy in throwing things off her tray so others would pick it up, being held and cuddled, and attending Pediatric Therapy Center where she loved all the families and staff, especially Danielle Thiessen and Katelyn Leming.

Maggie loved attending preschool at Fairview Elementary. She was loved and adored by all her classmates and staff alike. She especially loved her teacher, Mrs. Schaefer, and her best friend, Charlie.

Maggie is survived by her parents, Jason and Amy Boyer’ grandparents, Bud and Nancy Boyer and Janice Znamenacek; siblings: Molly, Annah, Kaeliana, Karlos, Lani, Logan, Asher, and Aries; aunts and uncles: Sarah and Ali Alhachami, David Znamenacek, Andy and Wendy Znamenacek, Al and Susan Znamenacek, Chris and Antonia Boyer, Allison Fees, Rob O’brian; cousins: Mariam, Zak, Haider, Mason, Lily, Lina, Shayla, Tim, Elyse, Carter Casey, Nick, Ava, Lillian, Grace, Allison, Gavin, Caleb, Jaden (Kore), Azalea; additional family, friends, and biological family.

Maggie is preceded in death by her grandparents: Roger Znamenacek and Kay Fees, and cousin Josef Alhachami.

Maggie’s family would like to thank the dedicated and compassionate staff at Endless Journey Hospice, Christian Heritage Foster care, Douglas County Juvenile Court,  as well as the doctors, nurses and staff at Children’s Hospital and Children’s Physicians Bellevue for their unwavering love, commitment, dedication  and love of Maggie.

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

    In Loving Memory of
    Maggie J. Boyer

    I Have Known…

    To live a happy life.
To feel the love by so many souls.
To give love and receive love.
How to be who I am and learn to play.
    To smile and laugh.
Although life has been an uphill challenge to me, I am here, and I am me.
My life has made an impacted to so many, in so many ways.
But, memoriesof me will always be with you however, you choose to carry me in spirit.
So, smile in my memory, cry if you need, but please remember I am free of my burdens and now I run free…

    In Loving Regards,
    T. Taoussi
