Madonna E. Shock
Madonna E. Shock passed away on December 15, 2018, at the age of 95 years. She was born October 21, 1923 in Plymouth County, Iowa, the eighth of eleven children born to Valentine and Ellen Plendl. She graduated from Kingsley, Iowa High School and worked in Sioux City, Iowa as a secretary. She later moved to Denver, where she met and married Ed Shock, who was then a member of the Air Force. They lived at bases in Florida, California, and Idaho, then spent three years in Madrid, Spain, after which they spent one year in Massachusetts and then retired to Bellevue, NE. Madonna worked for many years at an Omaha Law firm, retiring in 1992.
She was preceded in death by husband, Edman J. Shock; parents, seven brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Karen of Colorado Springs, CO; Tom and Diane of Lincoln, NE; two daughters, Susan Allison and significant other, Troy McCoy, of Bellevue; Diane Duran of Omaha; three grandchildren, Melissa Both and husband Dan, Nicole Shock, Brian Allison and wife Kendra; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18th at Bellevue Memorial Chapel
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 19th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2302 Crawford Street, Bellevue, NE
Interment Bellevue Cemetery
