August 14, 1947 – June 3, 2021
Age 73
Preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Inez Johnson; brother Lynwood Johnson.
Survived by his daughter Elizabeth and her husband Jerrod Dillon; grandchildren Jase, Morgan and Sydney.
Funeral Service: Monday, June 14, at 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2210 Harlan Drive, Bellevue, with visitation one hour prior.

Interment: Omaha National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
Military Honors: Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard and American Legion Post 331.

Elizabeth, our deepest sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your Dad. Lowell was a high school classmate and neighbor of mine in Hills, Minnesota. We have kept in contact over the years. On flying trips thru Omaha I would call and we would go out for breakfast.
He was very proud of his daughter Elizabeth , son in law Jerrod(F 35 pilot, Wow!) and grandkids and would send me pictures.
Our prayers are with you and the family during this time.

I just wanted to let you know that we thought and still think the world of your Dad. We were Sunday school teachers together and it was a pleasure serving with him up until covid caused us to cancel in person services. During covid, your dad came over for dinner once and worked up my girls on the idea of getting a cat. I told them, and him NO, but after 17 years of steadfastly defending my position, your dad had formed an alliance with my wife and girls and a week later we were buying cat toys for Ivan “The Terrible”. At least I got to name him.
When we lost our son last fall to suicide, your dad was there for us and I won’t forget that. I know he loves you. He always talked about his daughter and her husband in the Air Force. With every move we’ve made with the military there are certain people who leave an impression with you that you never forget. Your dad was one of those.
I wasn’t ready for him to go, and I miss him, but he’s in good hands now .
We were sorry to hear about Lowell, We stopped in Omaha 2 years ago and enjoyed lunch together. He talked of his daughter. son in law and grandchildren. We also did a lot of reminiscing of our days in high school at Hills. Mn, Winter time sliding down Johnson’s hill , which was a part of their farm was a fond memory. Thank You Lowell for your Military Service to our country and being a part of our wedding party. Our sympathy and prayers are with the family. Steven and Patricia Swanson
