Lisa Anne Gue
February 23, 1966 ~ December 5, 2022
Lisa Anne Gue, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and best friend, passed peacefully surrounded by her family and best friends on Monday afternoon, December 5, 2022. She is preceded in death by her dad, Al Sullivan. She is survived by her loving husband, Bob; her mother, Mary Sullivan; her children, Kelly Klusaw (Brian), Mariah Metz, Dakota Postlewait (Bailey), and Summer Metz; her grandchildren, Brayden and Makenzie Klusaw, Dawson and Maddux Postlewait; her sister Pamela Wyzykowski; her nephews, Travis Cole (Alyssa), Hunter Cole, and Team Lisa.
Lisa was born to Al and Mary Sullivan on February 23, 1966, in Omaha, NE. It hasn’t been verified, but it’s possible that her first steps were taken between the tables at Stella’s, Bellevue’s world-famous burger joint, owned by her dad, Al. She spent all her life in Bellevue, NE, where she graduated from Bellevue West High School in 1984. This is where she met some of her lifelong friends and many members of Team Lisa. Being a lifelong Bellevue native, she was known and well-loved by everyone in this small town.
Lisa dedicated her whole life to her kids. She was the mother of four children and four grandchildren. Despite her large family, Lisa made time for everyone. She always provided support and unconditional love for her family. She would proudly boast about every single one of her kids, their spouses, and grandbabies.
Lisa enjoyed dancing, music, and bar hopping the Bellevue bars. Then, one night in 2005, the lead singer of Dysfunction Junction caught her ear and then her eye… and then there was Bob, the love of her life. They spent 18 years together, living their lives with love and laughter.
Lisa woke up every day and found joy. To know Lisa is to love Lisa. She never (literally) met someone she didn’t like and made a lasting impact! Her family will miss many things but hopes everyone lives, loves and laughs like Lisa. Love you more…
Her visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel. Lisa spent her life being a HUGE Nebraska fan, so please wear your Husker gear proudly!
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 9:00 am at the same location. Christmas was always Lisa’s favorite time of year. Because of this, she requested that everyone wears a Holiday sweater. Let’s make the room as festive as possible. Feel free to bring an ornament in her honor to place on the Christmas tree we will have on display.

Bob. Mary, Pam and family my heart is so broken. Yes, while Lisa is in a better place; she’s not here! Not gonna lie, as a cancer survivor myself I’m just a little bit angry..I wanna know why her? Then God spoke to me and said “I’m only choosing the very best”!
I loved Lisa so much, I only got to speak to her a few times, over the past few years but She was so alive and always will be..”She’s still alive… Inside all of us.”
I love you Pam, cal me when and if you want.

But a Cornhusker for life!
My condolences to the family , Lisa was a great person, she brought the sunshine in the stormiest of days, just by her presence, her determination to fight the battle she was given. Lisa kept on fighting through it all, and remained positive, she was well aware of how the battle would end, Lisa encouraged and displayed love for her family, friends, myself included. Lisa will be sorely missed, but I know she’s healthy and happy in heaven. Team Lisa, what a support system for Lisa and her family, you as well as her family were determined to pack as much experiences, laughter, into the time frame you had, you did an awesome job! My life was enriched by knowing Lisa and being a part of her journey.
My deepest condolences to you and your family. Had the pleasure of knowing Lisa during Kelly’s younger days in softball. An amazing strong woman. She’ll be deeply missing.
God called down for a very special woman to gain her wings, to fly high and watch over all her loved ones. It was heartbreaking to hear her passing, but she is no longer in pain. Thank you Lisa for always being there for kind words and encouragement through everything over the past year, and thank you for befriending me from day one. You have given me more than you ever know, you gave me strength and hope when I didn’t see it. You honestly want me to #LivelikeLisa every single day. Prayers for Bob, the family and many friends. The Lisa trio will never be the same. I will miss you my friend. Until we meet again.
