Linda Louise Kline

Linda Louise Kline

Linda Louise Kline was born August 11th, 1947, to the late Frank and Marguerite (Schull) Gadjalski. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy.  She was raised in Gibsonburg, OH, and graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1966.  On July 17th, 1970, she married the love of her life Elwood (Woody) Wilbur Kline. Together they raised three children: Geoff, Jeremiah, and Jenny.  She passed peacefully surrounded by family members on August 13th, 2024.

After getting married Linda and Woody traveled to New Orleans and Chillicothe, Ohio. In 1974 they moved to Akron, OH; and that is where they started their family.  Geoff arrived in 1980, Jeremiah in 1982, and Jenny in 1986.  Linda also celebrated her 40th birthday in Akron, marked by a huge banner in the front yard of their home that said “Lordy,Lordy, Linda’s 40”.

Linda moved with her family to Germany in the summer of 1987.  While in Germany she and the family visited Holland, France, Austria, and Switzerland,   She enjoyed the culture and history of these countries along with the time spent with her family.

In the summer of 1990 Linda and her family moved to Bellevue, NE.  She took on several employment opportunities while in Bellevue, starting at Bellevue Public Schools.  After three years with the school system she went to Merry Maids for a few years.  Following Merry Maids, she then started her own business, Kline Kleaners.  It was that business that was her passion for years.  She had many loyal clients that loved how she cleaned, and her family benefited from that skill too.  After scaling back her cleaning business she began to relax, briefly.  She went back to Bellevue Public Schools as a part time substitute kitchen cook and janitor, which led up to a full time cook’s position at Bellaire Elementary.  She worked there up to the time of her passing.

Linda had many hobbies.  She loved her house plants and had a knack for  keeping them all growing.  She was an avid gardener and enjoyed watching birds.  She was an amazing cook; her specialties being potato salad and deviled eggs.  She loved hosting family and friends for Thanksgiving and Christmas at the house and loved decorating for Christmas.  The Christmas houses present around the urn are just a small sample of the many that she collected over the years.  She was an avid baker, baking dozens of cookies around the holiday.  She enjoyed camping, hiking and putting photos in scrapbooks.  She was a leader in a Cub Scout Pack in Germany as well as Pack 469 locally.  She also served on committees with Boy Scout Troop 464 and 467 in Bellevue as well as on the district level.  For 15 years she was instrumental in the success of the Scout Ten Commandments Hike.  She spent many weekends camping with the Scouts and with her family.  She enjoyed caring for her many pets over the years.  Her most recent love was Ginger.

Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Woody; her sons Geoff (Sarah), Jerry (Nicole), and her daughter Jenny.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Kendra, Alysa, Seth, Tyler, Connor, and Drake.

Linda’s life blessed all that she met.  She was a vibrant soul and would welcome anyone into her home.  She loved her family and her friends, and  loved being active outdoors.

The Kline family would like to thank all of her family and friends who will honor her with their presence at her service.

She was a heck of a lady. Sometimes hard to keep up with. We just saw her on Memorial Day weekend and she was as feisty as ever. We will miss her very much.
