January 3, 1937 – September 8, 2023

Age 86

Klaus was on the German National Champion, Water Polo, Swimming and Diving team. He came to the United States in 1958 at the age of 21.  Klaus was in the USAF for 22 years and worked for 10 years in the Civil Service.  He enjoyed 30 years of retirement.

Preceded in death by his parents and daughter Angelica.

Survived by his wife of 59 years Edie; son Kevin Schoenherr and his wife Rose; grandchildren Pressly, Josie and Ellie; brother Olaf Schoenherr and his wife Martina.

Visitation: Friday, September 29, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel

Memorial Service: Saturday, September 30, 11:00 a.m., Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel

    Have known Klaus for over 40 years as we worked together in the radio shop atOffutt AFB. He was a colleague and a dear friend. To Edie, Kevin & Olaf, know that Jan and I are so sorry. RIP MY FRIEND

    I was fortunate enough to have met Klaus over the fence when I was a 20 something, first time homeowner, many years ago. Though I haven’t seen him in 40 years, he’s one of the people who always has, and will continue to pop up in my memories. I’m sure his was a life lived well.
