Kim Louise Vokal

Age 63

Kim was born in Wahoo, Nebraska on August 4, 1955. She lived and traveled with her family through Nebraska and the upper Midwest, as her father was a high school basketball coach and traveling salesman. After graduating from Union College in Lincoln, Kim served as a missionary in Hong Kong. She continued her adventures as flight attendant for TWA. She worked as an administrative assistant when she married Don Vokal in 1990. They lived in Oregon and Hawaii before returning to Bellevue to raise their three children, Nathan, Emily, and Charles, to whom she was extremely devoted, putting them and her faith at the forefront of her battle with cancer in 1998. Her faith and trust in Jesus only grew throughout her life, giving her strength till the end.

    So sorry to hear about your loss. I remember being pregnant at the same time with Kim when you attended Discovery Presbyterian (formally Mosher-Pilgrim). Kim was so strong with her faith and a real fighter. I recall how good she looked when I saw her at a Cancer Race several years ago. I keep your family in my prayers.
