My heartfelt condolences to Kevin’s family. He was a good friend of mine in high school, I considered him a soul mate! We had great talks and he was a profound influence in my life! I share a quote he wrote in my high school year book- “ Our opinion of people is less what we see in them than what they make us see in ourselves.“ He will forever have my perpetual happiness and love!
My heart is broken. The world lost an amazing man. Mr. Burge taught my kids at the Omaha Homeschool Learning Center for years. He was more than a teacher, became my friend. When I was going through my own cancer battle and had to pull my kids out of classes due to my illness he insisted on coming to my house weekly to teach my kids. He also insisted I join in. As a mom the guilt of lacking in the teaching department during my treatment was immense. Mr. Burge stepped in to fill that gap without anyone asking. A true angel!! He made sure I participated in his lessons, keeping my brain sharp through the most difficult time of my life. I owe him so much. Our friendship grew and I, as well as my kids, will miss him so much.
