Kathryn “Katie” Lynn Fidler Bressman was born February 19, 1977. As a young child, people often called her “Katie with the dancing eyes”. As a lifelong Bellevue resident, she attended Bertha Barber Elementary School, Mission Middle School and graduated from Bellevue East High School. She was a cheerleader, marched with the Bellevedette flag team and sang in choir and show choir.
After high school Katie attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and then studied music at the University of Nebraska Omaha. She later graduated from nursing school. Katie earned certification as an EMT from Creighton University and shared this knowledge serving as a volunteer with the La Vista Fire and Rescue team.
Katie was employed at Bellevue Vision Center in Bellevue where she performed eye therapy with her patients. Katie was a loving wife and mom and a faithful daughter and sister. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceded in death by father John A. Fidler.
Survived by husband Richard R. Bressman, Jr.; daughter Ashley Eastman; son Jacob Eastman; mother Janet Larson (Michael); sister Elizabeth Loftus (Mike); brother Brian Fidler (Alysha); nieces and nephews; other loving friends and relatives; loving dog Dugan.
Visitation: Sunday, July 10, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Service: Monday, July 11, 11:00 a.m., Thanksgiving Church, 3702 370 Plaza, Bellevue.

You were a dear friend, one I could talk to about anything at anytime. I’m so sorry you went through this. It was just a week ago I spoke to you and you were loving life, marriage and just happy! We love you and will be missed by many. Until we meet again friend.

Janet, We are so very sorry to hear about Katie. She went through so much with health issues. We are out of town at Gretchen’s son’ wedding and come back on the day of the funeral. Prayers for your comfort during this difficult time.

Katie was absolutely one of the best people. She did eye therapy with my son Gavin and was so loving and kind to him. She was a blessing to many and will be truly missed.
