Joyce Ann (Kerns) Sievers

Age 83
Joyce was born in Omaha in 1939, raised in Plattsmouth, NE, and graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1957. She received legal secretary training while working for Francis M. Casey, Attorney at Law, in Plattsmouth, NE.
She marries Gerald (Jerry) in 1958 and accompanied him to a 3-yr NATO post near Paris, France. She became a legal secretary for Dan Monen who was legal counsel for Warren Buffett and the Buffett Partnership.
After the birth of her son, Scott, in 1967, she chose to be a stay-at-home mother and began a legal typing service from her home. Joyce retired in 2001 and enjoyed many happy travels with her husband to interesting destinations throughout the United States of America.
Joyce was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Bellevue, and American Legion Auxiliary Post 56 in Plattsmouth.
Preceded in death by her father George Kerns and mother Eva (Mayer) Kerns
Survived by her husband Gerald; son Scott Sievers (Meghan); grandchildren Delaney Sievers and Mackenzie Sievers; brother Charles Kerns.
Visitation: Wednesday, August 9, 10:00 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m. followed by a
Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., both at the Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Committal Service: Oak Hill Cemetery, Plattsmouth, NE
