Bramer, John Vincent Age 80 Omaha, NE Passed away on April 21, 2016. Vince was born to John Herman Bramer and Leeta Ann (Green) Bramer on August 22, 1935, in a farm house 4 miles north of Mason City, NE. Vince attended Hopewell Country Grade School and Mason City High School, where he excelled in football, basketball and track and field. Vince served our country in Korea while in the Army, before returning home to help on the family farm. Vince attended college at then Kearney State. During Vince’s freshman English class he met Linda, the love of his life, and during their junior year they were married. Vince earned a Masters Degree from Emporia State College, Emporia, KS. His hobbies included golf with a dozen former Millard educators and several close friends. Vince had a passion for all things Nebraska, and his many collections prove it. Vince was a successful bottle collector and member of the Nebraska Antique Bottle Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leeta and John Bramer. He is survived by his wife Linda (Hohnholt); daughters, Becky (Bill) Elliott, and Jenny Bramer (Ken Schiermeyer); grandsons, William McAfee Elliott, Henry Vincent Schiermeyer, and John Edmond Schiermeyer; sisters, Ada Marie (Darrel) Trimble, and Leeta Eileen Bramer; and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends. VISITATION: 6-8pm on Tuesday, April 26, at St. Luke United Methodist Church, Omaha. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10am, Wednesday, April 27, at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 11810 Burke, Omaha. Memorials to St. Luke UMC Teen Center, or Wycliffe Bible Translators.
