John Patrick Swingholm

John Patrick Swingholm

August 28, 1967 ~ July 31, 2020

Age 52

John Swingholm was born and raised in South Omaha. After marrying his first wife and moving to Bellevue, he achieved his single greatest feat in life of becoming a father to his two beautiful children. A jack of all trades, John spent his free time baking cakes, mentoring youth in boy scouts, puppeteering, leatherwork, and many other artistic endeavors. John and his main squeeze Misty enjoyed the outdoors by kayaking, hiking and taking pictures.

One of John’s greatest passions was playing bass in his many bands, working toward his goal of becoming a Rockstar! In recent years he added “Papa” to his resume, welcoming his one-year old grandson Hunter, into the world.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His impact will be felt forever through the people he held dear.

Preceded in death by parents Don & Judy Swingholm.

Survived by son Cody Swingholm (Sara), daughters Koral Swingholm & Kayla Mantegna; grandson Hunter; longtime girlfriend Misty Mantegna; mother of his children Beth South; brother Donnie Swingholm, Jr.; sister Terri Swingholm;  many nieces & nephews including Judi Scott, Lorynne Williamson, Clara Simerly.
