Joan L. Wicklund
April 16, 1931 – April 24, 2021
Age 90
Joan was born in Dubuque, IA, and was a graduate of the University of Dubuque. She was a loving and devoted military wife, a lover of plants, an excellent cook, and an avid reader.
Preceded in death by son Kirk; parents Harrison & Lucille Gantert; brother-in-law James Hagemeier .
Survived by husband of 66 years Robert; daughter Kristy Funk (Lance Grothe); son Eric Wicklund (April); grandchildren Caroline Wells (Leslie), Kyle Funk, Evelyn & Ian Wicklund; great-grandchildren John, Scarlett, Henry & William Wells; sisters Gretchen Hagemeier and Connie Peckham (Patrick); brother-in-law, Leonard Wicklund; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service following CDC guidelines: Friday, April 30, 2 p.m., at Bellevue Memorial Chapel, with a visitation one hour prior.

I will miss a very special friend that I met many years ago at the CWS – So many great times and conversations over the years that I will always cherish. Love to Joan’s family!
A beautiful service for a beautiful woman. I’m so thankful that I was able to meet Joan through my Mom at the CWS. Joan and Wick were so good to us and I’m thankful for the memories we have. Prayers and love to the entire family!
My wife and I and all of the Knapp family send our most heartfelt condolences to Kristy and Col. Wicklund. So many great times and memories at the Wicklund house on Martin Dr. May Joan Rest in Peace.
