Sincere and heartfelt thanks for your years of service to the Columbans of Bellevue. It was always a pleasure to see you and hear of the fortunes of Nebraska football. I am praying that you are at rest in the peace of our Living Lord and for strength and comfort for your family. In Jesus, Fr. Chuck Lintz

I met Jeff when he was looking for a welcoming tailgate at a Michigan State football tailgate. After we had a great time while supporting opposing teams, he extended an invitation to join in the festivities whenever we were able at the Huskers site. My wife and I did so, after Jeff feted us with prime rib, souffle, and trifle, along with good wine and WONDERFUL conversations with the folks at Bellevue that were hilarious, enriching, and affirming. A couple more fun tailgates with Jeff’s culinary skill on display, regular text teasing about football, news about expansion of his beloved family, and meeting each other’s friends provided great material for my memories of interactions with this terrific, open, and humble man. I cherish having known him, and I extend my caring condolences to his family, hoping that the warm recollections help to offset their deep loss.

Jeff was one of those people that would give you the shirt off his back! He touched so many lives here locally and around the country as he travelled to most Husker away games. Jeff was one of the most faithful Husker fans I’ve ever known and an accomplished chef….just ask anyone who has tasted his fare. He cooked for everyone and anyone whether it be at home with family and friends or at Husker tailgates. One of his favorite things was to find an opposing team tailgate and share his food with them. Jeff would usually stay at an air B&B on his away game trips and what would he do? Cook for them of course! Everyone loved Jeff. He will be missed by so many! GBR!!!!

Jeff was one of the good guys. His family can be very proud of someone who lived his life with no motive other than to be a good human being. Sending prayers to the family.
