I had my son when I was 17 years old. I was a in 11th grade. The Proksel’s lived right behind my parents home in the Highland Park neighborhood. We all went to St. Bridget’s & South High. Back then a diploma was so much more valuable then a G.E.D. was. But Mrs. Proksel watched my son during the day hours so I could go to school. If it wasn’t for her there to watch my son, I probably would have never been able to graduate & get my diploma. I will always be grateful to her for that. Prayers to all her family. She touched a lot of lives throughout her lifetime & she made an a difference in mine. Thank you Mrs. Proksel.
