James Raymond Richie SFC USA (Ret)
December 21, 1955 ~ February 6, 2024
Age 68
James spent his formative years in Kentucky and Florida and joined the military after high school. He served 20+ years in the U.S. Army. Known to his Army family as “Mohawk Jim”, he also went by many other nicknames. After his military career, he followed an Army buddy to the Omaha area and never left.
His hobbies included following the stock market and betting on sports. He was a fan of both John Wayne and Elvis. He loved his family, especially his grandkids and always had concern for his family in the Philippines.
Preceded in death by his parents Dile & Ruby Richie; son Harold Richie; brother Daniel “Dickey” Richie.
Survived by his wife of 44 years Carmen; children Jerry “Jing-Jing” Tandaguen, David Tandaguen, Sandy Corcoran, Daniel “Scooter” Richie (Holly); grandchildren Isaac, Jamison, Nathaniel, Kamden, Jeffrey, Riley; many loving friends and relatives, as well as four legged companions.
Visitation: Sunday, February 18, 2:00 ~ 4:00 p.m., Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel
Committal Service: Monday, February 19, 10:00 a.m., Omaha National Cemetery

I am so sorry for loss. Ritch and I connected from me moving to Tampa in my Senior year of high school. He will be missed. You are in our prayers.
