I am a Vietnam Army veteran and met Jake one Thursday afternoon at Parkview Pizza in Flippin. He loved the Thursday lunch special – pot roast. I knew he was a WWII veteran and we spoke briefly before his meal came. He told me he was Army mule skinner in Italy and he knew General Clark. His meal came then, so I left him to eat undisturbed. I thanked him for his service and he thanked me for mine. Oremus. Fidelium animae, per misericordiam Dei, requiescant in pace. Amen.
