George Quayne Pflager

Age 80
George attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, where he excelled at rifle team and golf. At age 17, he won the Omaha World Herald Publinks golf tournament. After high school, George moved to Kansas City where he was a top manager at multiple jewelry stores. He then chose to follow his true calling; George graduated with a Masters degree in Counseling from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1984.
George and Debra met in Nebraska City, NE, where he was a mental health therapist. They married August 27, 1988 and later moved to Bellevue, NE where George continued his mental health career, eventually running his own practice. After retirement in 2020, George loved gardening, playing chess, and chasing grandchildren around his home.
Preceded in death by his parents Louis Pflager and Kathryn Jackson; sister Paula Pflager.
Survived by his wife of 36 years Debra; sons Michael Pflager (Carrie), Jonathan Pflager (Cassidy), Kevin Pflager (Libby Rea); grandchildren Collin, Adelyn, and Evelyn.
