I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Col Jarrett. He was a mentor to me in my young years and gave me some great fatherly advice when I joined the military. He was one of the great Dad’s of my young years and a grand gentleman. I remember in 1983 when I was stationed at McChord AFB, He and Joan were on a cross country trip and took the time to drop by and have dinner with me in Tacoma – it was a lovely evening which I will always remember – My condolences to the Jarrett Kids especially to my high school friends Jerry and Bill – I will certainly remember the Jarrett Family in my prayers

I’m sure you know how many people’s lives were impacted by Col Jarrett during his years teaching. Please add my name to the list. He always had a smile and a story to go with the good lessons and values he taught and modeled. And he was a good man. He’ll be missed but not forgotten.

Thoughts, prayer, and blessings to you all.

I was very fortunate to meet George while at the SAC Museum while he was volunteering as a docent. He truly was a one of a kind gentleman and he had so many stories to share. He was truly just a wonderful human being. He served our country in the Army. He always talked about his wife as well as his entire family. He loved fishing and looked forward to his fishing trips he took in the summer, I feel very blessed to have known George and to work with him over the years. He was always positive, even though towards the end he had health problems it never got him down. His outlook on life was truly inspiring. My condolences to the entire Jarrett Family. George was a gem. Sending prayers of comfort during this difficult time. JC Colson

Col. Jarrett was a good man and had a lasting impact on my life. As my JROTC instructor at North High School he was always a leader with integrity and guided many of us in our teenage years. He was the reason I decided to serve our country by joining the Army. I can only imagine the number of young people he impacted over his lifetime. To his family – Thank You for sharing such a great man with us.

He was sure a great uncle and a grand uncle to my boys. When I told all three of my boys each said how he always reached out and made a point to talked to them, asking about them. They all saied what a great or good man he was.
We loved him and will miss him. We love our cousins and sorry we could not be there for you. But are watching visually.

Service. Humility. Integrity. Honor. Family by both Blood and Choice. Your wisdom and Rudyard Kipling sustained many of us through more than one critical night. Thank You, Sir. β˜•πŸΈπŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ™Œ
