Haven’t seen George for many years but as an Engineer for the RR he was very well accomplished and respected. I will never forget his voice, wit and great laugh. Blessings to him as well as family and friends.

Was sad to learn of George’s passing (as well of Helen’s) The last time the I seen Geo & Helen was several years ago @ Famous Dave’s. we gave each other a bunch of shit , as we always had ( you know Geo…) , then had a nice chat. I worked with Geo for over 35 years and thought highly and respected him. he was a good “Hoghead” (R.R.term for Engr.) and friend. I know that he will be greatly missed and remembered for ever..!!!!

George taught me a lot about railroading when I went through the engineer program and he trained me on the Sioux Line. He called most all young people “kid” and I fondly remember him saying “kid you run the train by the seat of your pants” . . . it was his way of teaching me how to run a train. I will always remember George; he was a very unique individual and his kindness towards me will not be forgotten.
