Gaylord E. Eifert
October 4, 1940 – January 5, 2023
Age 82
Gaylord could chit chat with anyone, and also at times be the one with few words and just listen. He was known to his grandkids, great grandkids and many others as Opa (grandpa in German). He was the neighbor who would wave as he drove by or stop for a chat and help you out at any time. He could not just sit around and do nothing so after he had “retired” he went on to continue working part time through age 82. He is already missed immensely and a deep void is in our hearts.
Preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Viola Eifert.
Survived by his wife of 31 years Rita; children Greg Eifert, Sheri Sotelo (Steve), Mike Eifert (Tammy); stepchildren Mike David (Glenda), Jody Leuck, Bobby David (Brenda), Scott David; and Opa to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, January 14, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., followed by a
Funeral Service at 3 p.m., both at the Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel.

My sympathies to Jody and her family.
I wish I lived closer and could be there to celebrate the life of our last Eifert first cousin, Gaylord. I extend my sincere sympathy to all of his family and friends. It was such a joy to see Gaylord and visit with him when the Eiferts gathered to celebrate the life of our brother, Bob. May he rest in peace.
