Very sad to see in today’s paper that Garon had passed. I worked with Garon on several occasions throughout the last 25+ years at USSTRATCOM. He was always very professional and helpful. I retired 14 months ago and was unaware of Garon’s illness. I hope he passed peacefully. Prayers and thoughts for him and his family. I will be on a sailboat to Hawaii soon for several weeks and will surely have Garon on my mind. Take Care &God Bless

Garon was a good friend and mentor. I enjoyed having him as my boss at the 20th Intelligence Squadons where we battled the AIA takeover after SAC went away. Garon always had a great sense of humor and more common sense than most. My condolences to you Gerry and the entire Dang family.

Gerry and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I just found out about it this evening. I had the honor of working as Lt. Colonel Dang’s Secretary for the 27th Intel Squadron. He was a great man, with a kind and compassionate personality and big heart. with a good sense of humor and he was a good listener. He was at Art and I’s wedding in 1994. You are all in our prayers. God Bless him and all of you. Gerry & Art Childers

Dear Gerry and Family … I first met Garon in 1972 … Over the years we remained friends, but lost contact after his retirement. It was Garon who showed me what the ALOHA SPIRIT was, and it was because of him and his parents that I fell in love with Hawaii and it’s people.

I just learned of his passing today November 17, 2023 and I’m sorry that we lost touch over the years. He was a quite, friendly, thoughtful and caring man who will be missed but remembered with ALOHA and respect.

    Our Condolences,

    Carol & Rogerio Perez
