Fred Schneider, 88, of Tucson, AZ passed away on September 30, 2024.
Fred was born in McCook, NE in 1936 to Fred and Rose (Meehan). Fred graduated from Creighton University and managed A G Edwards Brokerage firm in Omaha. He later retired in Tucson, AZ where he enjoyed daily activities of golf, tennis, and playing the piano.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his 3 brothers, Don, Dennis, and Stan, and his son Tom Schneider.
He is survived by his wife Joyce of 54 years, his daughters Kathleen Schneider (Tom Snook) of Honeoye Falls, NY, Nancy O’Neill (Terry) of Kansas City, MO and Mary Sue Defeo (Kevin Derois) of Eugene, OR, 3 grandchildren Claire Schulte, Peter O’Neill, Lily O’Neill and 2 great grandchildren Simon Schulte and Eloise Schulte.
Memorial Service: Saturday, June 14, 2025, 10:30 a.m., Bellevue Memorial Chapel.
Place of Rest: Bellevue Cemetery

My sincere condolences to Joyce and the rest of Fred’s family. Fred and I were close friends and classmates at Lincoln Cathedral. We played Football together, double dated, worked on the railroad together, and shared forbidden packs of cigarettes . I will always remember Fred for his great sense of humor and the true friendship we shared. May the Lord comfort you.

Fred was always so kind, funny and generous. I wish I could have spent more time with him.
