Frances Diane Regier

November 11, 1942 – January 13, 2023

Age 80

A graduate of the University of Nebraska, Diane taught French at Doane College and Peru State College. She received her Master’s in International Business from the University of South Carolina, interned a year in Germany, and had a career with the IRS in Dallas, Texas, and Washington DC. Retiring in 2011, she moved from Alexandria, VA, back to Bellevue. Diane loved God, family, friends, animals, classical music, Gilbert & Sullivan, singing, playing the piano and oboe, books, poetry, Asterix, and Walt Kelley’s Pogo. She enjoyed travel through the USA and in Europe, the USSR, South America, Egypt, Israel, and China. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue.

Diane will be missed for her quiet gentleness, humor, and ability to quote and create clever poems and lyrics.

Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Frances (Goth) and Willis Regier.

Survived by her sister Margot (Mrs. Gerald Cook), Bellevue; twin brothers Dr. Willis G. (Carol) Regier, Champaign, Il; and Dr. Philip (Janet) Regier, Moorpark, CA; nephews Eric (Elissa) Cook, Sapulpa, OK; and Roger Cook, Garfield, AR; niece Aletheia Regier, Eureka, CA; great niece Sarah Catherine (David) Jeffrey, and great-great niece Paisley Jeffrey, Sapulpa, OK.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later time.

    Margot,I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Diane!
    I think she walked to school with us some.
