Heartbroken…Ernie has been a dear friend and golf buddy since 2008. My son Kyle and I enjoyed his company on Willow Lakes golf course most every Sunday (weather permitting). My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends. I will never golf again without smiling (and some tears) thinking of Ernie. Hopefully heaven has wide fairways, beautifully raked bunkers and favorable greens… I hope to golf with you again sometime in the future. Love and miss you Ernie!

Ernie & Jan were my neighbors in Cheyenne; and Ernie was the wood cutter for Jan’s motley crew of would-be folk art painters that trudged to their house every week for Jan’s classes. Ernie always cheerfully withstood our gentle ribbing with good humor and some good comebacks. He’ll always be a special part of those fun times. Such a good, sweet man.

Met Ernie when I worked in 55 CS Network Center at Offutt AFB. He was a great technician and fun co-worker to just chat about anything. Avid golfer who loved to hit the green. Sad to read of his passing and our thoughts/prayers to his family & friends. RIP.

Jan, Jason, Haley and Isabelle: Uncle Ernie will be missed. Although I didn’t get to spend much time with your family because of the distance, I always enjoyed the time we did have together. Ernie always made a good experience. Ernie was always so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely interested in others’ lives and was a joy to be around. My condolences to you all.
