John Frederick Engelhardt

John Frederick Engelhardt

January 14, 1950 – July 23, 2024

Age 74

John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. As a father, he gave much of his time to coaching softball, helping with marching band, and building beautiful sets for the plays his daughters performed in during high school. He also loved traveling to Madeira Beach, FL., where he spent hours sitting on the beach and flying his kites. John’s greatest passions were his grandchildren, fondly know as the “six pack”. They quickly became his whole life. John loved fiercely and fought through several health issues, each time, fighting for another day with his beloved family. He never missed a dance recital, swimming competition, Christmas program, drum recital, tennis match, basketball game, or baseball game. John lived to serve others, and there was never a person he met that he didn’t end up befriending. John lived his motto, Fight Fiercely, until his body could no longer keep up with his will. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his parents Fred & Helene Engelhardt; sister Cathy Engelhardt.

Survived by his wife of 50 years Lynne; daughters Mary Sasek (Tim), Laura Mallatt (Luke), Sarah Rozniecki (Chad); grandchildren “The Sixpack” Jillian, Andrew, Lucy, William, Olivia & Isabella; beloved nieces & nephews.
