Donna Lynn Lowe

Donna Lynn Lowe

Donna Lynn Lowe, 76 of Bellevue, Nebraska, passed away on March 27, 2023 peacefully in her bed at The Gramercy Assisted Living Home in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Donna was born on March 20, 1947 to Bill Richey, Sr. and Ruth Russell in California.  She lived in several states in her lifetime but always considered Bellevue her home.  She attended Palodera High School in Amarillo, Texas where she graduated.

Donna was a special education teacher’s aide for the Bellevue Public Schools for 15 years working at Chap School and Bellevue East.  In 1984, Donna met her late husband Richard Lowe at Babes Bar and was married shortly thereafter.  The two loved doing everything together and Babes was a constant hangout for them.  Donna’s other love was the Kansas City Chiefs and you didn’t have to ever ask her who her favorite team was as she always wore something Chiefs.

Thanks to her hospice caregivers and Dream Weaver, Donna was able to get to Babes one last time to see friends and family before she passed away.  She was so excited and loved the whole experience.

Donna was preceded in death by her mom and dad and her husband Richard.

She is survived by her brother Bill Richey, Jr.; sons Joel Semler and Shawn (Kim) Semler; grandkids Christian Hollars, Cody and Toby Semler; and great grandkids Kaylee and Jaycee Hollars and Blake Semler.

Reception of Friends:  Saturday, April 1, 2:00 ~ 4:00 p.m., Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Committal Service:  Tuesday, April 4, 2:30 p.m., Omaha National Cemetery.

Memorials will be directed by the family.
