 Age 85

October 11, 1931 ~ March 5, 2017

Born and raised in Winslow, NE., graduated from Hooper High 1949, degrees from UNO and Utah.  Served in USAF 22 years and retired in 1973.  Worked at UNMC and taught courses for Peru and Metro Community College. Member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Bellevue, since 1965; German-American Society, Omaha, since 1973; VFW 2280, Bellevue and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 154, Omaha.

Survived by wife of 62 years Elfriede (Wagner); son Steven of Omaha, daughter Heidi (Kuss) Noonan husband Daniel, Lemont, IL;  4   grandchildren 1 great granddaughter.

Preceded in death by parents Fred and Emma Kuss; sister Arlene Way; grandsons Ryan Kuss and Erik Noonan.

Visitation:  Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 5-8 pm at Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel.

Funeral Service:  11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 2311 Fairview Rd, Bellevue, NE

Interment:  Friday, March 10, 2016 at  Hooper Cemetery, Hooper, NE
