David Robert Jensen, 59, of Bellevue, Nebraska, died October 26, 2015, after a long illness. David was born September 17, 1956, to Robert and Doris Jensen, who predeceased him. David was a member of the Church of Christ (Temple Lot). David graduated from Bellevue High School. He was self-employed most of his life as a certified blacksmith and a certified locksmith. Both trades were not only his occupation, but his passion. He learned blacksmithing by working a summer in Silver Dollar City, Missouri. He was also active in area blacksmithing organizations. In his youth, David was a Boy Scout. David is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Vic Ostermiller of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and Kathleen and Ralph Clark of Lone Jack, Missouri. He is also survived by two nieces and five nephews. Visitation is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 31, at Bellevue Memorial Chapel, 2202 Hancock St., Bellevue, Nebraska. The funeral service will follow immediately. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Elders Robert Dewaele and Robert Oldham.
